Community guidelines
Last updated: 21 August 2026
Gorilla Gainz is for people who train. The feed exists to share sessions and keep each other moving, not to tear each other down. These rules cover posts, photos, comments, usernames, workout names and live sessions.
Be decent
- Everyone started somewhere. Comment the way you would talk to someone at the park.
- Technique feedback is welcome when it is wanted and stays factual.
- No comments about anyone's body, weight or looks.
No harassment, no hate
- No insults, threats, bullying or stalking.
- Nothing that demeans people for their origin, skin colour, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- No sexual content and no sexualised comments about others.
- No one else's data or photos without their consent. Not as a joke either.
Do not put anyone at risk
- No how-tos for reckless stunts: roof edges, unsecured heights, obviously broken equipment.
- Do not push people past their limits. Nobody needs "push through it" when they just wrote that it hurts.
- No medical advice, no diagnoses, no promises of health outcomes.
- Nothing that promotes eating disorders, extreme weight loss, doping substances or unrealistic body ideals.
Keep it real
- Post your own sessions, not someone else's.
- No made-up PRs to mislead people.
- Do not pass off other people's photos or videos as your own.
- No spam, no ads, no coaching pitches, no mention bombing.
- No accounts pretending to be someone you are not.
Your tools
- Report: in the menu on every post, comment and profile. Reports are not public.
- Block: blocked people can no longer see you, mention you, comment on your posts, invite you or notify you, and neither can you.
- Visibility: every post starts private. You decide per post whether nobody, your crew, or everyone sees it.
- Delete: you can remove your own posts, comments and reposts at any time.
What happens if you break the rules
We review reports by hand; content is not automatically screened before it is published. Depending on severity we remove content, issue a warning, restrict features or suspend the account. For threats, content involving minors, or other criminal behaviour we suspend immediately and involve the authorities where appropriate.
Think a decision was wrong? Write to [email protected] and we will look at the case. The same goes if you reported something and nothing seemed to happen.
When it is serious
These guidelines are part of the terms of use. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number, not us.
