Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Cloo GmbH, Reumtengrüner Str. 32B, 08209 Auerbach, Germany ("we", "us"), covering the Gorilla Gainz app and all related services. By creating an account you accept them.

1. What Gorilla Gainz is

Gorilla Gainz is a calisthenics tracker: you plan workouts, log sets, follow your progress, and can optionally share sessions with a crew or train live together. We provide software, not coaching, not supervision, not therapy.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old. You confirm this when creating an account.
• One person, one account. Accounts are neither transferable nor shareable.
• Your details must be accurate, and the email address must be yours.
• You are responsible for your password and for everything that happens through your account.
• Posting, commenting, mentions, friendships and live sessions require a verified email address. Training and planning do not.
• You can change your username at most once every 30 days.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings › Account › Delete account.

3. Your content

Posts, photos, comments, workout names and profile details are your content. They stay yours. You confirm that you hold the rights to them and that they infringe nobody else's rights.

So that we can run the app, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store your content, process it technically, display it at the visibility you chose, and adapt it for display (for example compressing photos or generating preview sizes). That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, with two exceptions: backups expire on their own cycle, and a workout that someone else saved as their own copy from a post visible to them remains as their copy.

Every post carries a visibility: private, friends only, or public. The default is always private. Keep in mind that a public post can be seen and copied by anyone.

4. What is not allowed

In particular, you must not:

• Harass, threaten, demean, dox or stalk anyone, or post hateful content.
• Post sexual, violence-glorifying or otherwise unlawful content.
• Post other people's personal data without their consent, including photos in which they are identifiable without agreeing to it.
• Give medical advice or promise health outcomes.
• Spam, advertise, chain-post, abuse mentions or post in automated bulk.
• Fabricate training data in order to mislead others.
• Sell, rent or hand over your account.
• Circumvent rate limits, paywalls or security measures, reverse engineer, scrape, or access the service programmatically without our permission.
• Do anything that disrupts the operation of the services.

The detailed rules for the social side are in the community guidelines. They form part of these terms.

5. Reporting and moderation

Every post, comment and profile can be reported, and any user can be blocked. Content is not automatically screened before publication. We review reports and may hide or remove content, restrict features and suspend accounts when these terms or the community guidelines are broken. For severe or repeated violations we may act without prior warning.

6. Gorilla Gainz Pro

The app is usable for free: unlimited workout tracking, workout builder, weekly plan, PRs, 30 days of history, friends and feed, and joining live sessions.

Gorilla Gainz Pro is an auto-renewing subscription that adds full history, advanced statistics, hosting live sessions and extra share cards.

• €4.99 per month or €29.99 per year (EUR base price; other countries follow the relevant store's price matrix).
• Seven days free trial, once per account.
• Purchase and billing run through the App Store or Google Play. The payment contract is with that store; we never see payment details.
• The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Cancelling happens only in your store's subscription settings. iOS: Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions; Android: Google Play › Payments and subscriptions. Deleting the app or your Gorilla Gainz account does not cancel a subscription.
• Cancel during the trial and you are charged nothing. After that, Pro stays active until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds follow the rules of the respective store. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
• Purchases can be restored in Settings regardless of which sign-in provider you use.

We may keep developing what Pro includes. If a significant Pro feature is permanently removed or the price changes, we will tell you in advance so you can cancel.

7. Training is at your own risk

Gorilla Gainz is not a medical device and does not replace medical advice. Workouts, suggestions, weekly goals and statistics are general information, not an individual training or treatment plan.

You train at your own risk and on your own responsibility. Before you start, make sure you are physically fit to do so, especially with existing conditions, injuries, during pregnancy, or after a break. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath, and seek medical help. Check equipment and ground before you put weight on them. Content from other users is their opinion, not our recommendation.

8. Availability

We work to keep the services running, but we do not owe uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, incidents and changes to third-party interfaces can cause outages. Sessions can largely be recorded offline and sync afterwards.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For simple negligence we are liable only for breaching material contractual obligations, meaning those whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may reasonably rely, and then limited to the damage typically foreseeable at the time the contract was concluded. Any further liability is excluded.

We are not liable for content posted by other users. For data loss we are liable only to the extent the loss would also have occurred with proper and regular backups on your side; your data export is available at any time.

10. Termination by us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, if operations or other users are put at risk, or if we are legally required to. We will inform you as far as we are legally allowed to. If a store subscription is running, you must cancel it yourself through your store.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, for example when features, the legal situation or store requirements change. We announce significant changes at least 30 days in advance in the app or by email. If you do not object before they take effect, or keep using the app afterwards, the amended terms apply. Creating new social content may require explicit acceptance again.

12. Final provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you habitually reside in the EU, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. If any provision is invalid, the rest stays in force.
