Crunch
Also called Crunches, Ab crunch, Abdominal crunch
The crunch is a short curl of your upper body from the floor. You lie on your back with bent knees and lift your shoulder blades. Expect your abs to work hardest, with your obliques joining in. It is simple and easy to scale, so it suits beginners. Curl up with your abs, not by pulling on your neck. Keep your lower back on the floor and lower slowly. A short pause at the top makes it harder. When crunches feel easy, try the Sit-up or the V-up.
