Jump rope

Also called Skipping rope, Rope skipping

Jump rope is a cardio exercise: you turn a rope with your wrists and hop over it. It mostly works your calves, forearms and shoulders, and your quads and abs assist. It builds rhythm and coordination, and it is hard work even in short sets. Turn the rope from your wrists, keep your elbows close and hop only as high as you need. Land softly on the balls of your feet. Pick a rope that reaches your armpits when you stand on its middle. Count reps or work for a set time.
