Ring support hold

Also called Ring support, Rings support

The ring support hold is a support hold on gymnastic rings. The rings move, so your shoulders and arms must keep them still while your arms stay straight and the rings turn slightly outward. It trains your triceps, shoulders and chest, with help from your abs, biceps, forearms and upper back. It teaches the shoulder control that ring dips and muscle-ups need. Hold the rings close to your body and press your shoulders down. Learn the Support hold on bars first. End the hold when the rings start to drift.
