Scissor kicks
Also called Flutter kicks
Scissor kicks are small, controlled leg movements from the floor. You lie on your back, lift your straight legs slightly and cross them over each other. Your abs and hip flexors work hardest, while your quads and obliques assist. Keep your lower back pressed into the floor and your legs only as low as you can control. Put your hands under your hips for support. If your lower back lifts, raise your legs higher. Breathe evenly.
