Side plank

Also called Side bridge, Side forearm plank

The side plank is a hold on one forearm and the side of your foot, with your body in one straight line. It mostly works your obliques, and your abs, shoulders and glutes assist. It builds the strength that keeps your trunk from bending sideways. Keep your elbow under your shoulder and your hips high. To make it easier, bend your knees and rest them on the floor. Hold both sides for the same time. The Plank is a good partner exercise for the front of your core.
