Single-leg deadlift
Also called Single-leg RDL, One-leg deadlift
The single-leg deadlift is a hip hinge on one leg. You tip your torso forward while your free leg reaches back in one line, then stand tall again. It trains your hamstrings and glutes, with help from your lower back, abs and calves, and it challenges your balance. Keep your standing knee soft, your back flat and your hips square to the floor. Start without weight and with a hand on a wall if you need it. Do the same number of reps on both legs.
