Typewriter pull-up

Also called Side-to-side pull-up

In the typewriter pull-up you pull up with a wide grip, then slide your chest from one hand to the other while you stay at the top. It trains your lats and biceps, and it asks a lot of your upper back, shoulders, forearms and abs. The sideways move puts the load on one arm at a time. It suits you when the Archer pull-up feels solid. Move slowly, stay high and slide the same number of times to each side. The next step up is the One-arm pull-up.
