Freestanding handstand

Also called Free handstand

The freestanding handstand is a balanced handstand without a wall. You hold your body in one straight line over your hands and balance with your fingers. It mostly works your shoulders, forearms and abs, and your triceps and upper back assist. It takes a lot of practice, mostly short and relaxed attempts. You need a steady Wall handstand first. Practice on a soft surface and learn a safe way out of the handstand before you try long holds.
