Lying leg raise
Also called Leg raise, Leg raises, Lying leg raises, Flat leg raise
The lying leg raise is a leg lift from the floor. You lie on your back, lift your straight legs until they point at the ceiling and lower them slowly. It trains your abs and hip flexors, with help from your quads. It is the base for the Hanging leg raise. Keep your lower back on the floor the whole time. If it lifts, bend your knees or stop your legs higher. Once it feels easy, the Hanging leg raise comes next.
