Hanging leg raise

Also called Hanging leg raises, Straight leg raise, Hanging straight leg raise

The hanging leg raise is a leg lift from a hang. You hang from a bar and raise your straight legs to hip height. The main load falls on your abs and hip flexors, supported by your forearms, lats and obliques. It needs a firm grip and steady shoulders. Start with the Hanging knee raise if you cannot keep your legs straight. Lift without swinging and lower slowly. When sets feel easy, move on to the Toes-to-bar.
