Straight bar dips
Also called Single-bar dips
Straight bar dips are done on a single bar in front of you, not on parallel bars. You lean your chest over the bar, lower down and press up. The lean puts more work on your chest, and your triceps and shoulders work hard too, with help from your abs and forearms. It is useful when no parallel bars are around, and it is a step toward the Muscle-up. Learn Dips first. Keep your shoulders down and stop if you feel a pinch in your shoulders.
