Front lever raises
The front lever raise is the rep version of the front lever. You hang from a bar, raise your body to horizontal and lower it slowly, with your arms straight. Your lats, abs and upper back work hardest, while your biceps, forearms, shoulders and hip flexors assist. It builds the strength for the hold through a bigger range of motion. You need a steady Tuck front lever first. Bend your knees to make it easier. Move slowly and end the set when your hips start to swing.
